Michele pouliot teaches bow from down
The bow behavior is not only an impressive trick, but it is also one of the critical skills used in canine freestyle routines. In this video, multiple-time International Freestyle Champion Michele Pouliot demonstrates how to teach the bow behavior when the dog is starting in the down position.
Michele’s dog Saké was first trained to bow from a stand. After warming up with several bow responses with rewards, Michele cues for a down. Once Saké is in the down position, Michele cues the bow, marking any effort to raise his rear. Within two sessions, Saké has it!
