TAKE THE BITE OUT OF AGGRESSION CASES
In this five-week, four-unit LIVE virtual class, you will learn aggression specialist Michael Shikashio’s proven approach to staying safe while handling and working with dogs—from those with unknown histories to dogs with confirmed bite records. You’ll explore essential safety tools and setups, along with a range of defensive leash-handling techniques critical to creating a secure environment for both people and dogs.
If you are a dog trainer, veterinary professional, shelter or rescue staff member, or an animal control officer who wants to reduce the risk of dog bites in your work, this course will give you practical, proactive strategies to maximize safety.
An estimated 4.5 million dog bites occur each year in the U.S. alone. Knowing how to build safe working environments and manage handling procedures effectively can help prevent you, your clients, and the dogs in your care from becoming part of that statistic—or worse. In this class, you’ll learn how to incorporate preemptive safety measures, assess risk quickly, and refine your defensive leash skills to stay safe in unpredictable situations. You'll also develop your emergency response toolbox with practical techniques for managing bites or attacks.
Michael Shikashio, CDBC, is the founder of AggressiveDog.com and an internationally renowned expert in dog aggression. His insights have been featured in The New York Times, WebMD, Fox News, Real Simple, and more. He’s a keynote speaker, host of The Bitey End of the Dog podcast, and creator of the Aggression in Dogs Master Course and Conference.
