Enroll by February 7th for Engage! Excel has sold out.
Training animals for stage performance, TV, or film is incredibly rewarding and challenging. Seeing your dog’s performance immortalized on screen is a unique form of reinforcement. But how do you get there? What behaviors are essential for success on nearly every set? How do you create behaviors that withstand distractions in various environments and with different handlers?
Learn to create show-stopping behaviors and routines from Melissa Millet. With years as a top trainer for animal actors of all types, Melissa has performed with her animals everywhere—from fairs and festivals to TV and film to the Guinness Book of World Records.
In this 4-unit class, you and your dog will be Melissa's understudies as she highlights how she prepares her animals for stardom. She will coach you through training your dog in the key behaviors that land her animals' roles in major films time and again. You will also learn to train some fun behaviors that wow audiences and studio executives alike, discovering how many “show” behaviors are beneficial for everyday life. Then, you will be challenged to put together some tricks as if preparing for your first “gig”!
