We update the available DTP series with scholarships regularly. See the section above for availability. We will announce new series throughout the year.

Each scholarship for the Dog Trainer Professional program is a credit towards the tuition of $2000 for US locations and 2800CAD for Canadian locations. Applicants will be responsible for the application fee ($50 or 50CAD for Canadian locations) and non-refundable deposit ($500 or 400CAD for Canadian locations), both of which will be credited to the tuition balance upon enrollment. Students are responsible for any travel and accommodation costs to attend workshops. The scholarship has no redeemable cash value.

There is a limited number of scholarships available, and they are awarded based on the applicant's ability to contribute to the goals of making our training community more equitable, diverse, and inclusive. Financial need alone is not a qualifying criterion, and applicants must reside in the USA or Canada.

The decisions for scholarship awards will be determined by KPA's internal Inclusion Committee through an assessment of each scholarship application submission.

In instances where there are more qualified applicants than available scholarships, the committee may also take into account the timing of acceptance into the program, with greater emphasis placed on earlier acceptance.

It is important to note that admission to the DTP program is a separate decision from the scholarship determination. Only applicants who have been accepted into the program will be eligible for scholarship consideration, and these applicants are required to complete the scholarship section of the application.

Upon admission to the Dog Trainer Professional program, applicants who applied for a scholarship will receive notification regarding the outcome of their scholarship application. Subsequently, successful applicants must secure their spot in the program by submitting a deposit.
