Foundations is great preparation for the Dog Trainer Professional program or the The Dog Trainer Comprehensive course.

Dog Trainer Professional is an application-based, six-month-long course with multiple educational components. It provides the potential for certification as a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner. Foundations is entirely online, while the DTP is a hybrid of online learning and hands-on workshops.

The Dog Trainer Comprehensive (DTC) course, like Foundations, is fully online and you can start right away. It is more in depth and longer than Foundations course, includes 10 hours of online coaching, and is designed for someone with considerable interest in learning modern dog training.

Foundations Immersion uses the identical curriculum and has the same educational goals the standard Foundations course, but provides more coaching and related support. If that’s less important to you, or if you are on a tight budget, stay with this course, which offers our standard coaching and a lower price. If you would utilize the extra online coaching and feedback or prefer more help from your teacher to keep you on track, Immersion would be a great option.
