KPA-Faculty-Linda-Ryan

Linda is a passionate Veterinary Nurse, Clinical Animal Behaviourist and R+ trainer.
Linda started out in general practice, and then spent many years working in specialist clinics at university and private referral hospitals, where she learned so much from amazing people and animals along the way. Linda’s passion for welfare-centered training and behavioural care has evolved over her life and career with animals, hence she became a graduate of Karen Pryor Academy, via the international program in 2012.
Linda is a Veterinary Technician Specialist in both Behaviour and Oncology. She is also an ASAB-accredited Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist for cats and dogs. (She REALLY loves cats!)
Linda lives in New Forest with her hubby, a GORGEOUS little brown dog and a sweet and sassy tortie-cat. She runs Inspiring Pet Teaching, aimed at pet and caregiver teaching, and continuing education provision for veterinary and para-professionals. Linda has been teaching for many years, and works closely with vet teams; as well as various education providers, inc. [of course!] Karen Pryor Academy; Fear Free; International Cat Care/ISFM; BSAVA; and others; and she regularly lectures and writes on various Veterinary Nursing and behaviour/training topics nationally & internationally.
With a foot in both the camps of veterinary nursing and behaviour, Linda is passionate about collaborative care for pets across all aspects of their physical & mental health; and consent-based positive reinforcement training and patient-friendly vet practice.
