Alyson Rice is a dog trainer specializing in the rescue and rehabilitation of shelter dogs. She owns and runs The Foster Dog Chronicles in Evans Mills, NY.
In 2008, Alyson retired from the New York State Police after twenty years of service. While serving as a New York State Trooper, she worked as a road trooper, accident reconstructionist, and school resource officer. Alyson has been rescuing and rehabilitating animals for more than twenty years. She has experience as a wildlife rehabilitator, working with white-tailed deer, rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks. Alyson has worked with shelter dogs, feral dogs, and multi-dog households. She specializes in teaching clicker training to her clients and maintaining a harmonious relationship between animals and their families.

Alyson's bond with animals began at a young age. She started riding lessons at the age of seven. As a teenager, she worked after school and on weekends at a horse barn, riding, training, and caring for horses. Alyson graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of science degree in psychology and magazine journalism. She continued her education at Liberty University, working toward a master's degree in psychology. Alyson worked as a New York State Trooper for twenty years and was certified in Accident Reconstruction, School Resource, and as a Fitness Coordinator.
In 2007, The Foster Dog Chronicles (TFDC) began rescuing from shelters and rehabilitating dogs that were facing euthanasia. TFDC is currently a non-profit corporation in New York State and has filed paperwork for 501(c)(3) status. Alyson owns and operates an 80-acre farm in Jefferson County, NY. The focus of the farm is to rehabilitate, train, and find appropriate homes for animals that deserve a second chance. Clicker training is used to teach, rehabilitate, and maintain healthy relationships and behaviors.
