Lisbeth Plant is a dog training coach in Cobble Hill, on southern Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. She is dedicated to positive, humane training methods that are based in science, and that develop and preserve a natural and positive relationship between people and their dogs.
- Bio
Lisbeth is Swedish by birth, British by naturalization, and Canadian by marriage. She has been a dedicated dog lover ever since she got her first dog, a dachshund named Dino, in 1969 when she was 13 years old. At the time, Dino was one of the few dachshunds active in obedience training and trials.
While living and working in London, England, where she ran an international insurance company, Lisbeth was unable to keep a dog of her own, so she borrowed dogs from neighbours and friends for walks and sleepovers. After taking early retirement following a horse riding accident, Lisbeth now enjoys life on Vancouver Island together with her husband Bill and their Bernese mountain dogs.
Lisbeth has a long history as a teacher/coach, both during her business career and as a former scuba diving instructor—where shoddy practices can mean the difference between life and death. As an individual, she is committed to continuous personal education and development.
