Karen Phillippi has always had animals in her life. Horses were her main focus for years, but she always had a dog or two around.
It wasn't until ten years ago that Karen started working with dogs as a profession. She started out using the traditional compulsion training, and for the most part had "okay" results. At times, her inner voice tried to tell her that this wasn't the way.
With additional reading and access to the Internet, Karen discovered clicker training—Bingo! She is now a confirmed positive reinforcement trainer, using the clicker primarily. Karen is constantly amazed at what is possible with this method, not just with dogs, but with an almost limitless variety of animals. The results are so superior, on so many levels, to compulsion or aversion training. Karen hopes that more and more people will use this method.
In addition to running her own business, Karen also volunteers at the local county animal shelter where she is using her clicker background to help dogs up for adoption and dogs that are waiting.
Karen believes you never can stop learning. She attends as many workshops, seminars, and classes as she can, and is always reading to further her education.

Click'em Dog Training offers classes in manners and obedience, fun tricks and a variety of workshops. Training is currently being offered in private, semi-private, and in-home format.
