Sandy Dain launched Metamorphosis Pet Training LLC to help companion animals find loving homes, and to assist owners whose pets have behavioral issues so that fewer pets need to be re-homed.

Sandy is a graduate of the Dog Trainer Program at Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior. She is also certified as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).
The services offered through Metamorphosis Pet Training are designed to help clients solve behavior problems, teach good dog and cat manners, and build better relationships with their pets. The training techniques used are recommended by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and include reinforcing desired behaviors, removing the reinforcer for inappropriate behaviors, and addressing the emotional state and environmental conditions driving unwanted behaviors. This form of training is often referred to as positive reinforcement-based training or "positive training."
Prior to launching Metamorphosis Pet Training, Sandy created and managed the Education and Foster Care programs for Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene, OR. She continues to pursue her passion for working with animals in transition at the Humane Society of Seattle/King County. Sandy conducts behavior assessments for incoming dogs to determine adoptability as well as personality assessments to help potential owners find the right pet. She is also involved with training new volunteers in the Dog Behavior and Socialization program and with special projects as needed.

Sandy teaches beginner and intermediate obedience courses and workshops on Seattle’s Eastside. She also provides in-home private lessons and behavior consultations in the greater Seattle area.
